Martinique is officially part of France and Lamentin International Airport (FDF) is best reached via Paris with Air France from within Europe although other options are available via the usual Caribbean hubs of Antigua, St Lucia and San Juan. Alternatively, take a look at the options to Guadeloupe, also via Paris with Air France. Internal connecting flights with the local island hopping carriers are easily available but do allow a decent connection time for unexpected delays, especially if taking the last connecting flight of the day to Martinique to start your yacht charter. If you arrive late, consider staying in a hotel your first night and completing the last bit of your journey to Martinique the next morning, arriving refreshed to start your sailing holiday.
