Direct flights are available from the USA and Europe to St Lucia for your sailing holiday. Both BA and Virgin offer flights from the UK to Hewanorra International Airport at Vieux Fort (UVF) which is located 40 miles south of Castries. This airport handles all International flights while George F. L. Charles Airport (SLU) on the outskirts Castries handles most internal Caribbean flights and is only 3 km from Castries.
A departure tax of EC$68 (US$26) is payable on departure for adults and children over 12. If a direct flight is unavailable for any reason, inter-island connections are good so try another of the nearby island’s international airports.
