The Cote d’Azur has a reputation as a glamorous and cosmopolitan destination. The well known hotspots of Cannes, Nice, St Tropez and Monaco offer plenty of the highlife and are well worth a visit so pack your best outfit and hit the town.

Most of the beaches on the Riviera and shingle but for real sand try La Garoupe. You can anchor in the bay here and call one of the restaurants to collect you for a meal ashore. Further West, Les Isles d’Hyeres namely Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Ile du Levant are a nature reserve and a hide away from the bustle of the mainland.
