The beginning
of spring sees a steady warming-up from winter
temperatures of 10-12°C. By May, daily average maximum
temperatures have reached 21 (70 °F), daily sunshine
hours have increased to a more respectable 9 hours, and
the average number of dry days has risen to about 23.
The summertime brings quite hot weather to Turkey, with
daily average maximum temperatures climbing to about 28
°C (82 °F) by August. It is a reasonably dry season,
with up to 27 dry days each month. 11 or 12 hours of
sunshine can be expected on average.
Autumn sees a rather rapid decline in average maximum
temperatures. Values of 15 °C (59 °F) will be recorded
by November. Daily sunshine average values decrease
steadily throughout the season, becoming just 4 hours
per day on average at the end of November.
